Canucks fatigue already setting in....

Canucks fatigue has already hit the armchair athletes at K&K.

How can it be the beginning of the 2013-14 NHL season and we’re already sick and tired of the Vancouver Canucks coverage? Oh yeah, it’s because local media and fans have a serious case of obsessive compulsive disorder.

Between all the waiting with bated breath for coach John Tortorella’s first on-camera meltdown and checking in on Roberto Luongo’s emotional state, it almost makes us yearn for the days when a newspaper would put a six-year-old Bon Jovi fan on its cover.

But instead we get front page photos of Roberto Luongo’s determined eyes staring at the camera and headlines like “All eyes on Lou.”

Since we wrote this prior to the Canucks season opener, we have no idea what doozies await us Friday morning. Perhaps “Lou the one you're with,” “Shark bitten” or “The Luongo and winding road”?

No matter what, we’ve got an entire year of this stuff to go. We just pray someone can use this little gem we thought up between our morning fitting for our foam hand and spreading blue and green grease paint across our smooth belly: “Lou makes me feel like a natural woman.”

You’re welcome.
