Re: "School board mulls 'Mosquito' devices," May 4.

Is Robert Holmes of the B.C. Civil Liberties Association really saying that the rights of drug dealers under 25 in schoolyards after 10 p.m. take precedence over the rights of children to enter a schoolyard free of drug paraphernalia, broken bottles, human excrement, urine and vomit? Because that's what it sounds like in Naoibh O'Connor's Courier article. Maybe I misread it.

Hey, how about if Robert Holmes walks under the covered area of Tecumseh Annex every night between 10 p.m. and 3 a.m., seven days a week, and just tells those drug dealers/excreters to get out. Why don't we try that, Robert? You sound like a guy who really knows how to handle this problem. In truth, you're making the BCCLA sound like a group that has run out of real human-rights violations to fight. As a parent of a student at Tecumseh Annex, I object to your position and I hope you come to your senses
