While attending numerous events over the years, I’ve had the pleasure of making the acquaintance of Dawn Chubai, former co-host, and now host of Breakfast TV's Live Eye.
It’s through Live Eye that Chubai has recently found herself rappelling down a 20-storey building in a latex catsuit, flying with the Snowbirds and cooking with some of the best chefs in the Lower Mainland.
But I know Chubai best from her performances singing with the city’s King of Swing Dal Richards, of whom I am a self-proclaimed fan.
At a recent event, Chubai told me about her new “Under the Covers” CD to be released in January 2014, and also of a Christmas song she recently recorded. The song can be downloaded for free and Chubai is hoping listeners will add it to their Christmas playlist this holiday season.
