Good news, fans of rock hard abs and sloppy clothing made by the nimble fingers of overseas garment factory workers. Next Saturday, Old Navy is celebrating its new store on Robson Street with a “huge family-friendly party” featuring ice skating, deals galore and the din of cranky children coming down from their sugar highs.
Most importantly, the event will feature an in-store appearance by hunky Vancouver Canucks forward and treasure trail model Ryan Kesler. No word yet on what Kesler’s duties will be other than providing eye candy, serving up beefcake and diving to the ground anytime someone so much as grazes his shoulder. But rest assured, Kesler’s presence should be an unmitigated success compared to David Booth’s rumoured appearance at a Nanaimo Randy River outlet recently where he apparently shot a mannequin with his crossbow thinking it was a bear.
