Letter: Invest in more buses, not subway

Congratulations to TransLink for running a $36.8 million surplus. I commuted to UBC over the past two years. During peak hours from September to April, full busses sometimes bypassed passengers who were usually picked up by the next bus.

Why not invest in some new busses and run extra busses along the Broadway, 41st, King Edward and Fourth Avenue corridors?
Isn’t this a better solution than investing billions of dollars on a Broadway subway line that would run half empty during the four summer months when UBC students are on hiatus?
