To the editor:

Re: “Homeless plan smells fishy,” Oct. 1.

I will keep this short: When I see the words “these people” attached to any group, I stop reading.

These people, in this case the homeless, are ourselves after missing two paycheques, our children, unable to survive on a minimum wage, a single senior on a basic pension.

We are these people.
