Re: "Lee Building once towered over Broadway," July 13.
Donald Luxton is very knowledgeable about the heritage buildings in our neighbourhood of Mount Pleasant. We appreciate his contribution to the Courier's Lee Building article. It is therefore rather puzzling that such a heritage expert would advocate for The Rize Development on Broadway and Kingsway. If there is one way to ruin the Lee Building's majesty, which is as he said "the visual heart of the community," it is to put a gigantic glass/steel structure just opposite.
Maybe he should stick to heritage issues, and advocate for modern buildings in his own neighbourhood.
