Re: "Why I didn't quit my job," July 13.
It might be better for media types to start looking at their profession and where it has gone with the concentration of ownership. Actions by Black, CanWest, Global and Murdoch and even the CBC should be setting off alarm bells in people like Sandra Thomas and her colleagues about the quality of journalism. Nagata raises some issues that need addressing. To accuse him of being naive and young is very defensive and doesn't address some of his basic arguments. Maybe you need to try to deal with the issues he raises, not get personal about his age. Stop being defensive. I'm 70 years old. I have had my future, people like Nagata deserve theirs.
