Pride/fireworks comparison invalid

Sandra Thomas's comparison between the Gay Pride celebration and the "vulgar display" of those (heterosexuals?) attending the fireworks is invalid. I strongly suspect a Hetero Pride parade versus an LGBT fireworks party would yield a similar outcome. A publicized Sunday event versus a Saturday night party event is a better contrast.

The unstated presumption that homosexuality equals inherently superior ethics and behaviour is no less elitist than the reverse. People are people, we are all equal, right?
