Vancouver... A city filled to the brim with useless assholes. Who knew?

RAIL FAIL
Re: "Railway Club to reopen this spring as Railway Stage & Beer Café,” Feb. 2, 2017
The problem with the club and live music has always been the layout. If you want a live-music venue, you have to move the bar. It has to go at one end or the other.

WALK ON THE WILD SIDE
Shame on King George Secondary School for being the ONLY establishment on the entire length of Denman Street that did not clear their sidewalks during the recent snowfalls. I slipped and fell on the frozen icy sidewalk at the front of the school and am grateful to other walkers who assisted me. And what a missed opportunity for the school: give snow removal shovels to some of their teen students and at the same time let them learn a valuable lesson on public safety and participation. Also many thanks to all of the nearby apartment buildings who did clear their sidewalks, thus allowing many seniors easier access to the stores and services on Denman. Much appreciated!!

SNOW ANGELS
A huge rave for the building manager at the Times Square Suites who has been ensuring that the slush on the road from the approaches at Robson and Denman to the ramps on his corner have been kept clear. That makes it so much easier for people with walkers/scooters/wheelchairs/strollers to get through. It was such a welcome sight after fighting with many of the other ramps with my little handicap scooter.
Another rave for the wonderful lady who helped push my scooter through many feet of the sloppy mess from the end of Chilco to Comox, and the couple of feet of slush at the bottom of the ramp to the road. The gentleman who gave me a push trying to get over the mess on Cardero is another who deserves a rave, as do the many who asked if I needed help even when I was ok.
