It’s never too early to indulge in a little holiday spirit during summer. Chapters has moved on from being a simply a destination for books. Their home décor collection provides the template for a chic and modern home. It’s only fitting that the Fairmont Pacific Rim was selected as the setting for the preview of their holiday 2013 collection.
For this holiday season, Chapters is trending back to the past. From rich colors such as gold, green and blue to the plush blankets to keep you warm for the season, it’s a mix of new and old reinvented. Some favorites of mine included the fur cuff gloves, a baby onsie that said “After party. My Crib. Two A.M.” and the metallic pillow.
It was amazing how Chapters transformed a space into a home. For many, a home is often a place of sanctuary. It’s a place where you return to unwind after a long work day and also a space that can bring family together. Your home is also a reflection of your life, interest and identity. Fashion, art and home décor has traditionally complimented each other as an extension of a personal narrative.
The secret to home décor is about balance and details. Too many items can clutter your space but too little can make a home feel stale. Tying in a color theme for your home helps focus the eye. Integrate prints into your home to keep things interesting such as a using wallpaper to line your shelves. To brighten your home for the holidays, switch your current sofa pillows with a rich color such as green or metallic gold.
One thing is for sure: with every step of the way, Chapters Indigo is keeping luxury at the forefront of their collection using textiles such fur, wool and leather. For the little ones in your family, Elmo will also be teaming up with Chapters for the holidays and spreading some cheer.
