March begins with snow and a basket of fruit, the latter courtesy of the B.C. Cancer Foundation.

The foundation is promoting its Workout to Conquer Cancer held this Saturday, March 8 at the Richmond Olympic Oval. The 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. event features, according to cancer foundation bumph, "a unique, fun, fitness challenge event featuring a full day of eight upbeat workout activities including Zumba, Fusion Kickboxing, Hip Hop, Rock Your Core-Barre Fitness, Retro Aerobics, Yoga Afro-Brazilian Dance and Tommy Europe's SHRED Bootcamp."

Some of those things I've never heard of, but they sound vigorous.

The fruit included apples, pears, oranges and bananas. It was happily shared with Courier staff and paired well with the Timbits brought in this morning.
