Viaducts will be like bike lanes - a done deal

I voted against the removal of the viaducts but just assume it is a done deal like the bike lanes (where construction signs were made before the city council vote was even taken and were posted minutes after the vote). The short-sightedness in the mayor's green plan is the streets downtown are getting more congested resulting in traffic just sitting and idling (a car idling is not at its most efficient state and is creating more pollution) and bike lanes sit largely empty through the rainy season (a big part of the year).

I'm for the bike lanes, but they should be on less used streets. We should encourage the people who do need to drive to get in and out of the downtown as easily and quickly as possible. Taking the viaducts out will not help that at all.
