Let cool heads prevail on our busy streets Re: “Good Drivers deserve thanks”, Rant//Rave, Dec. 23, 2014. Keith Freeman’s words are all we ever need and I think the Westender could reprint his wisdom again with seasonal adjustments.

The $48,630 bill handed to a Nanaimo student’s parents last week sounds a bit steep. It arises from a Supreme Court judgment that they are legally responsible for the damage that flowed from their son’s foolishness.

When dealing with a breakup, it’s often recommended (probably by your close friends) that you should do things to take your mind off thinking about it. Let it go they say and move on.
