To the editor: Re: "Liberals have helped the poor," Letters, May 24. George Vytasek, in his letter published May 24 ,2013 says that the B.C.

Re: "Climate Kid Deserves to be Heard," Letters, June 5. It appears that Port Metro Vancouver has taken a defensive stance over the exporting coal issue and that is an unwise move. Good public opinion is important to the running of any business.

To the editor: Re: "Sanctuary pond a bird-brained idea," June 14. I'm cringing reading about this idea.

It shouldnt surprise you to know another Vancouver neighbourhood is girding for battle with city hall. The neighbourhood in this particular ruckus is GrandviewWoodland, the heart of the East Side of Vancouver.

To Roger and Tyler, who responded to my June 6 rant about cyclists who dont wear helmets. Comparing Vancouver to Copenhagen and Amsterdam, unless youre talking about the weather or drug use, is a specious argument.

To the editor: Re: "Oakridge plan under the microscope," May 31. One item was hardly mentioned in all the Oakridge articles: The height of the proposed buildings relative to the area.

To the editor: Re: "Church's belief's worse than loss of theatre space," May 31. A huge hug of thanks to Allen Garr for examining Westside Church and their new property at The Centre across from the main branch of the Vancouver Public Library.

You get robbed at gunpoint, you know you're a victim of a crime. Your bank account is emptied by scammers, you know you're a victim of a crime.

To the editor: Re: "Are you a recycling champion," June 7. I'm so happy to have my little green container so that I can diligently recycle my food scraps.
