To the editor: Re: "Volunteer wants Marion Hospice to remain open," Jan. 9t We wholeheartedly agree that more hospice beds are needed in Vancouver. As our population grows and ages, there is an increasing demand for quality end-of-life care.

To the editor: Re: "Poodle on a pole perplexes Main Street resident," Jan. 9. It's stated a white poodle sculpture on Main Street and 18th Avenue cost $62,000.

I'm lying in bed with a pounding head, plugged sinuses and a frail Wi-Fi connection. Write about what you know, they say. Well, I know for sure I have one mean "man-cold.

If youre thinking about the future of the Waldorf Hotel and who isnt these days Id start with the much vilified Solterra Group and its CEO Gerry Nichele. They are the folks who bought the Waldorf and promised, so far, not to tear it down.

To the editor: Re: "Poodle on a pole perplexes Main Street resident," Jan. 9. Thank you providing an interpretation of Main Street's newest public art piece - the "Unnamed" poodle-on-a-stick. Here's mine.

To the editor: I have just read with bemusement the poodle on a pole article. My husband and I (we live on Main Street, my husband since he was a kid) commented on it the other day. "What in the heck...?" and "Where on earth...
