To the editor: Re: "12th & Cambie: Parking problems," Feb. 29. Courier reporter Mike Howell suggests that residents of Vancouver are becoming habitual law violators when it comes to parking.

Even Vision Vancouver insiders are shaking their heads over Mike Magee's public attack on the Vancouver Fair Tax Coalition earlier this week. Magee is Mayor Gregor Robertson's chief of staff and usually hangs out in the political shadows.

Im a high school teacher, and I dont want to be on strike. I enjoy teaching my students, and I also need my salary. Making the decision to vote yes for the strike was heart-wrenching.

To the editor: Re: "School board bureaucracy bloated and unnecessary," Feb. 29. Interesting or maybe amusing that the head of the Diversity Team should be on CBC Radio noon hour program while I was reading Mark Hasiuk's column in the Courier.

To the editor: Re: "Remembering Jim Green and his pork pie hat," Feb. 29. Recently, the Vancouver park board passed a motion "to find a way to recognize [Mr. Green] by naming a park or place in his honour.

Powerwash crazy All week long I look forward to a little bit of time in my home, reading a book, sleeping in, maybe doing some yoga. Instead, the soundtrack to my weekend has been the power washer outside.

To the editor: Re: "Liquor lifeline," Feb. 17. I am a Christian and the Holy Spirit, told me to write this letter. It is a sin to get drunk and drink too much.

Mark Hasiuk hit the nail on the head when he wrote: "In Vancouver, the media rarely digs deep into school board business and parent apathy emboldens professional activists.
