Adults, get ready to let your inner child out. Easter is just around the corner and there are some eggcellent events happening near Vancouver that you’ll want to hop to.

Two farms in the Fraser Valley, about an hour's drive from Vancouver, are offering some fun, boozy egg hunts for adults to kick off their Easter celebrations.

Maan Farms, in Abbotsford, is hosting its Bunnies and Booze Easter Egg Hunt for the second year in a row on April 4 and 5, after it proved to be rather hopular last year.

The farm’s barn will be transformed into a whimsical wonderland for the weekend with a live Mad Hatter, a Moonlight Egg Hunt, prizes, delicious eats by Mama Maan, wine from Maan Farm’s Estate Winery, and beer from Field House Brewing Co.

Guests to the ticketed event can look forward to indulging in a ‘Hoppy Hour’ before grabbing a flashlight and scouring the farm for a challenging egg hunt. Plus, whoever finds the Golden Egg wins a Grand Prize. After the egg hunt guests are invited to sit back and enjoy their treats near a blazing fire pit. For another chance to win prizes, dress up as your favourite character from Alice in Wonderland.

But that’s not all, Taves Estate Cidery, in Abbotsford, is also hosting its annual Adults Easter Egg Hunt on April 3 and 4 to help raise funds for Canuck Place Children’s Hospice. The ticketed event includes live music, hayrides into the apple orchard and down the Bunny Trail, visits to the petting barn and jumping pillow time.

Plus, guests can enjoy locally-sourced charcuterie board foods, savoury food truck bites, and Taves Family Farm’s newest endeavour—hard cider from the newly launched Taves Estate Cidery—and other local beverages.

Guests are invited to bring their own baskets to collect eggs and are encouraged to create a unique Easter bonnet to earn chances to win fun prizes.

The event promises that “everyone will go home with a full belly and a bag of Easter treats.”
