Over the past nine decades, our mission has broadened to include research, conservation, teaching and public display of temperate plants from around the world, particularly Asian, alpine and native plants. Celebrate summer solstice with a unique performance by the captivating vertical dance group, Aeriosa, while exploring Vancouver's most exciting eco-adventure attraction, Greenheart Canopy Walkway. Spectators will be able to see a captivating fusion of rock-climbing skill and contemporary dance movement perched on viewing platforms high in the treetops on the canopy walkway.

The talented dancers will explore movement three dimensionally in space with both horizontal and vertical movements made possible by their special rigging set up in the trees.  The experience will shift your perspective as it combines art, nature and community in one spectacular show.  Aeriosa Artistic Director Julia Taffe says,  "Trees are a witness of time.” So let this be your time to shed spring and witness the longest day of the year with an unforgettable experience. Learn more and find tickets on the Garden's website.

Here is a video of Aeriosa performing on Stawamus Chief in Squamish. We can't wait to share video of their performance in UBC Botanical Garden.
