I totally forgot to blog Day 8, but that's because it was busy, both at Shine and in the city with several Olympic events to run to during the evening (and about an hour to put food in my system in between). We've had a lot of families come down and see the work, which I think is great! And there was a post-hockey-game-win buzz going around in Gastown, with shouts and "woo"'s and lots and lots of cowbell.
I can't imagine what it's going to be like after the Canada vs. USA game on Sunday...
I know this is my own photo, but I shake my head every time I put it on the wall. It feels so calm next to what Robson Square is like right now. I pass it daily on the ride home from Shine...and I find it hard to remember what downtown was like before the Olympics started, until I look at the photo. Something like 1 million people are downtown on a nightly basis...that's pretty awesome.
