Hey, get your nose out of that book and check out this year's rankings for Canadian Cities that Love to Read, because there are four B.C. communities in the top 20, including three in the top five.

The list comes from Amazon.ca, and it looks at print and Kindle e-book sales from the online retailer on a per capita basis in Canadian cities with more than 100,000 residents from May 2017 to May 2018.

Though Vancouver isn't number one (those honours go to the bookworms in Kingston, Ontario), we do come in at number three, and the city top the charts in a few categories. For the second year in a row, Vancouver joins Cambridge in being the top cities that purchased the most cookbooks.

Not surprisingly, we are also exactly what the rest of the country thinks we are: Vancouverites lead in categories pertaining to health and fitness, social sciences, self-help, travel and arts and photography, says Amazon.ca.

But we still like to hold real books when we're cooking, working out, traveling, and doing all that self-care. Vancouver is still in the top spot as the city that purchases the most physical books.

Also hitting the books this year are Kelowna (4), Langley (5), and Delta (5).
