The annual Cinco de Mayo celebrations continue this weekend across Metro Vancouver, and offer numerous ways to get your fiesta on.

Sol Fiesta Mexico
Pre-Cinco de Mayo celebrations will take place at the Harbour Events Centre on Saturday, May 4. The 5-hour fiesta will include food, music, and dance performances to enjoy with your friends all night long. Featured performers from last year included Tren al Sur, Orquesta Tabasko and the Las Estrellas de Vancouver all female Mariachi band.

Cinco de Mayo Mariachi/Salsa band
Come down to the Waldorf Hotel on Saturday May 4th to party and enjoy 2 live bands, a DJ, drinks, and snacks. Enjoy Orquesta Tabasko and special guest “Mariachi Tabasko” Bands playing the classic Latin hits and DJ MiXXX playing the best of Salsa, Reggaeton, Cumbia, Merengue and Bachata.

Boat Cruise Cinco de Mayo
The Mexican fiesta on water runs from 7 until 11 pm on Saturday, May 4, and offers three Floors with three Djs. The evening also includes a choice of light or full buffet. The boat leaves from 750 Pacific Boulevard in False Creek.

World Music Festival Cinco De Mayo
Enjoy live performances by local Miriachi bands, and traditional mexican snacks. Decorate a sugar skull mask and enjoy this vibrant cultural experience. Free, but the event organizers ask you to pre-register.

11th Annual Cinco de Mayo 5-Pounder™ Burrito Eating Challenge
This Burrito Eating Challenge asks you to consume a Taco Del Mar 5-Pounder™ in 30 minutes or less and it's free. The 5-Pounder™ is a five‐pound burrito rolled with four tortillas stuffed with rice, beans, ground beef, cheese, pico de gallo, and sauce. It is equivalent to four-and‐a‐half Baja Burritos - and it usually costs $30.
