Every day we share a single photo from our Flickr Pool shot by one of our faithful and talented readers (that’s you!).
I think we can all agree that Vancouver is awesome, that's why we are all here! But surely that awesomeness doesn't just abruptly evaporate at Boundary Road? I could argue that even if this awesomeness dissipates to a small degree outside of Vancouver Proper (and I don't believe that it does), it does still radiate throughout the province and on to the rest of the country.
And to support this argument, I call to the stand lost83 and his photograph from Central Park in Burnaby titled Tall trees in the mist, as Exhibit A.
The defense rests, your honour.
Originally set aside as a government reserve as a source for masts and spars for the Royal Navy, Central Park was founded in 1891 (just five years after the opening of the more-than-four-times-larger Stanley Park and one year before Burnaby itself was incorporated) and has been a feature of Burnaby ever since.
At this time, there are no plans to build a seawall. Or would that be landwall?
