FINDING FARLEY AT THE VIFF

Farley Mowat pretty much IS Canada. He's one of those icons who defines so much that is awesome about this land of ours, so when I heard there was going to be a film about him at this year's film festival I was pretty stoked.

Finding Farley isn't really about Farley Mowat - it's not a biopic or anything - it's actually about an adventurous trip that a family embarks on from their home in Calgary (in a canoe, no less!) all the way to visit Farley in the Maritimes. Produced by Tracey Friesen (yes, the same Tracey Friesen who was involved with Carts of Darkness: Vancouver tie-in!), I am most definitely looking forward to checking this one out when it plays at this year's Vancouver International Film Festival.
