"Guerrillas In Our Midst"Our weekly look at the best of Guerrilla Giving - Week 1

We recently told you about this awesome, anonymous, local family dedicated to giving away 10% of their modest income to random Vancouverites in an almost sneaky sort of way.

We recently told you about this awesome, anonymous, local family dedicated to giving away 10% of their modest income to random Vancouverites in an almost sneaky sort of way.

Seeing as what they're doing in Vancouver is one of the most awesome things we've seen in a long time, we've invited the unknown humans behind the Guerrilla Giving project to share their latest drops with you once a week from here on out. Follow their progress, learn about what they're doing and why they're doing it but don't ask who they are because even we don't know the answer to that question!

I proudly bring you week 1 of "Guerrillas In Our Midst"!

**********

Ma Bell, where are you? On Monday, Guerrilla Giving went on a mission to locate Vancouver's vanishing relics and drop some tele-philanthropy. Have a look here.

1

First day of Fall and the heart turns to poetry. Tuesday saw Guerrilla Giving engaging in bibliophilia with the "best minds of my generation." Fall into poetry. Read more here.

2

So much depends on a red skiff, glazed with salt water, beside the deep blue sea. Wednesday, Guerrilla Giving was up the Creek without a paddle (but with a gift!). Come on board here.

3

A gift to salute sustainable transportation! Guerrilla Giving was loving the Car Co-op on Thursday. Check it out here.

4

Leonard Cohen! Can't you just hear the man’s mahogany voice—fuller, more embodied with each passing year? Friday, G.G. found the seawall seat that Cohen graced in this 1978 classic photo. Have a look here.

5

The universe is made of stories. Saturday took flight with Guerrilla Giving unearthing some great tales from Vancouver neighbourhoods. See the full story here.

6

The better half of Guerrilla Giving took off on Sunday. The remaining earthbound members of the family did some Plane Spotting and lifted our own spirits through the act of giving. Fly on over to the post here.
