Heavystock modular shelving system by Vancouver designer, D Calen Knauf

Here's something really awesome that I stumbled across on Twitter today even though I probably should have known about it because it was created by a friend. One of V.I.A.'s original contributors, designer D Calen Knauf, has released a simple shelving system that I think would look great in your home (and mine!).

It's called Heavystock and it's a low, sturdy, and simple shelving system that (according to IdN!) "resembles sheets of paper with their thin profile and folded corners. The radius created by the folded corner of the shelf is mirrored on the edge of the maple legs to create a curious connection between the two materials. Once mounted to the legs the shelving is rigid and stable without bracing. Heavy Stock can flat pack and be arranged in an infinite number of configurations."

There's more info about it HERE, and while it's not mass produced the starting point for the configuration in the first photo here is $800.
