For our "pop up" art show Here is Now we are interested in artists that are creating and making things happen outside the conventional means, and those who continue to re-define the space that exists around us. I can think of no other Vancouver artist that does this better than true renegade The Dark, he has an amazing ability to navigate his way through this city creating brilliant spacial integrations that evoke the most human of emotions. The Dark's work has a beautiful subtly, a truly awesome encounter that engages the viewer and reminds us to look around you might miss something.

HOW LONG HAVE YOU BEEN A PRACTICING ARTISTS FOR ?
I wouldn't particularly designate myself as an artist. I aquired a skill set that allows me to produce what may be termed as art, but ultimately I am not in a position to judge whether or not the results of that production can be termed as art. I would contend that it is the responsibility of the viewer to determine that.

I have maintained residence in Vancouver for the better part of 16 years.
WHAT MEDIUMS DO YOU CHOOSE TO WORK IN ?
I use what seems the most appropriate and practical for the given circumstance.

A reworked Louis Vuitton satchel, and a silver leafed skeletal hand as a holder of various sundry items.
