Last month we I went on The Peak 102.7fm in THIS SEGMENT about cheap places to drink, listing the Royal Canadian Legion as one of those places where everyone is welcome. What I didn't mention is that you have to be a member of the Legion (or accompanied by a member) in order to drink there, and the folks at the Legion reached out to let me know that we should probably let you know that. It got me to wondering, "What does a member of the legion look like?", so I got the Legion of BC/Yukon to put together this slide show of some folks who support them for one reason or another. Have a look through, then consider JOINING yourself to support our troops (and get cheap drinks!).

14 year member, Val is a Legion Provincial VP. She joined in honour of her Father’s service in the military. Many younger members join because they want to do something meaningful for others.

93 years young, served in WW11 as a tail gunner. Has been a member of Port Coquitlam Branch #133 since 1956. He continues to volunteer his time, assisting mainly during Poppy Campaigns.

Member for 7 years, he's a Navy Veteran and Cadet officer. Joined the Legion because it has always been a community hub, and welcoming place to be social and welcomed.
