For 2012, Vancouver Is Awesome has once again signed on as a media sponsor of the Vancouver International Improv Festival! They're putting out a public call today to fill some positions for a photographer, videographer and designers, see below for details and if you're interested in joining this community-minded non-profit festival, hit em up...
The 12th Annual Vancouver International Improv Festival happens this September 26-October 1. VIIF is putting out a general call for this year's fest for the following positions:
Poster Designer (apply by August 27)
T-shirt Designer (apply by August 27)
Event Photographer (apply by September 1)
Event Videographer (apply by September 1)
Interested parties can inquire at [email protected] with a bit of background info and the following:
- For the Poster Designer/T-shirt designer positions, please submit between 1-5 design proposal ideas.
- For the Photographer/Videographer positions, please send us any relevant samples of work.
In return for your work, you will receive a free festival pass, a fest t-shirt and a small stipend. We realize this is not a fantastic deal, however, VIIF is a small, volunteer-driven non-profit society and relies on community support in order to continue year after year. We are also happy to provide letters of reference after the festival for successful candidates (designers/photographer/videographer), and we'd be delighted to discuss additional incentives with you.
Photographers and videographers would need to be on site at the festival for all or part of the week of Sept. 26-Oct. 1. We may choose multiple people for these positions as need be. We can provide equipment and you are free to use any images/videos as part of a portfolio (same goes for the designers), however we retain the rights to use any images or video for marketing purposes in the future. High school and university students are very welcome to apply, and you're welcome to apply for multiple positions.
