You know how some people from BC will invest in a mailbox in Blaine, Washington so that they can access mailorder from the states from companies who don't ship to Canada? Over the past couple of years as Kickstarter has turned into a powerful force of crowdfunding in the United States I've seen Vancouver creatives doing something very similar. More than a couple folks in town have taken out US mailing addresses and launched their projects on this go-to platform that... well, kickstarts... creative ideas and companies based in the states.
Starting September 9th Canadians will no longer have to work around Kickstarter's US-only policy, as they're launching here!
