This unique event brings Salt Spring Island to Vancouver for one weekend

How great would it be to experience Salt Spring Island's renowned Saturday Market without having to hop a ferry? Thanks to Made on Salt Spring, a curated indoor weekend market, Vancouver can get a taste of the island right here.

Experience Salt Spring's creative community gathered under one roof on March 23, 24, and 25 at Vancouver's Heritage Hall. There you'll find dozens of makers, creators and designers and their products.

Participating vendors range from natural beauty products to artisan spirits, along with pottery, woodworking, art, clothing, jewellery, vinegars, soaps, salts and spices, cider, and much more. A full line-up of confirmed vendors is available online and you can follow the event on Facebook or Instagram for updates.

"We live in a close-knit, supportive community and this is an opportunity for Vancouverites to enjoy the charm of Salt Spring’s rural ambience at a relaxed indoor market where there’s something for everyone to enjoy," says Made on Salt Spring organizer and artisan Álvaro Sánchez.

Admission to Made on Salt Spring is $5 for adults, and free for kids under 12 years. The first 25 people through the door each day will take home goodie bags filled with samples and coupons from island vendors, with 10 additional bags up for grabs throughout the day.
