Medal Ceremony at BC Place

I got a last minute call from our friends at HelloBC.

I got a last minute call from our friends at HelloBC.com on Saturday asking if I wanted two tickets to the medal ceremonies that night, and of course I said yes! The part that I didn't realize, and that they didn't either, is that the actual ceremony was in Whistler that night, and the event in BC Place (which was jam packed!) was like a live simulcast on three massive screens. Regardless of that it was amazing being there in that setting, Olympic flag waving and people stoked to stand when the national anthems of the respective winning countries came on.

We arrived a couple minutes late, just in time to see Canada's own skeleton gold winner, Jon Montgomery, kissing his medal on the big screen...

My poorly-stitched-together overview shot...

And a shot of Tamara Taggart and that other guy from CTV (sorry guy, I don't know your name), who were actually there at BC Place doing lead-ins. The shot on the left is a photo of them and the one on the right a photo of them on the screen...

Stereophonics played a show after and in all I was stoked that I had the chance to go. So many of these moments we're witnessing are such once-in-a-lifetime things, and I have been getting chills daily lately. So awesome!
