The Canadian Christmas Festival is taking place every weekend until Christmas.

The first ever Canadian Christmas Festival is taking place on Granville Island, hosted by the Vancouver Fish Company.

Granville Island is welcoming a new free Christmas market combining food and local vendors.

The inaugural Canadian Christmas Festival is, you guessed it, a small Canadian-themed event kicking off this Friday (Nov. 25).

The festival, hosted by The Vancouver Fish Company, will take over the boardwalk in front of the restaurant and spotlight seven small businesses ranging from apparel by Winterborn Alpaca, to epoxy resin coasters by Fallen Tree VancouverIsland Essentials personal care products and Mistiq Wellness candles.

From noon to 8 p.m. every weekend until Christmas, visitors can order from a specially curated to-go snack menu from the Vancouver Fish Company while perusing gifts by the local artists and craftspeople.

The menu is dedicated to comfort foods like poutine, chowder, burgers, and fish and chips paired with sweets like mini donuts and Nutella waffles. Plus they'll have holiday-themed drinks like hot chocolate and mulled wine (there's beer and wine too) to keep warm while wandering.
