The fifth annual Polaris Music Prize continued this morning (afternoon in Toronto). The Prize is "a music award annually given to the best full-length Canadian album based on artistic merit, regardless of genre, sales, or record label".
When the top 40 albums were announced EIGHT of the Vancouver bands that made the cut (as well as adopted Vancouverite, Shad) and now that the short list for TEN has been announced: Dan Mangan, Tegan & Sara and Shad remain!!!
