Okay, so you've obviously been seeing a lot of these red mittens, worn by all 12,000 of the folks who took the Olympic torch across Canada, through more than 1,000 communities, around town. I've got a pair, my wife has a pair, my son has a pair and I think a lot of the people that you know own a pair. The original goal they had was to sell 1 million pairs to benefit our athletes, last week they passed 2 millions pairs sold and now the new goal is to hit 3 million!
Our original post on these mittens must be highly rated on Google or something because we keep getting comments saying "Where can I buy these mittens?" and "Please sell me some of these mittens!!!". So I must clear things up:
1. We are not selling these mittens, but if you're in Vancouver you can buy them from The Bay or Zellers for $10 a pair. The proceeds go towards Canada's Olympic athletes!
2. If you're not in town, you can find out how to buy them here: http://www.vancouver2010.com/more-2010-information/about-vanoc/own-the-podium/red-mittens/
3. You can probably find them on Ebay, and they should be affordable.
