Now that was a weekend! (I'm guessing, as I'm still in Ontario and about to take NXNE by storm!) But our buds at Vancouver Music Review had quite the weekend, and thanks to Jessica Brodeur (again) we've got the photo evidence to prove it (see the full set here!). Now to what's up...
THIS WEEK IN MUSIC: Jazz Fest is in full swing, so check out the lineup by clicking HERE! Wednesday night you're not going to want to miss Bry Webb (of The Constantines) at the Biltmore Cabaret, with Ford Pier & The Strength Of Materials. Friday night at Fortune Yamantaka//Sonic Titan are performing (with Sun Killer) and Saturday night at Fortune it's Royal Canoe with Copilots. Also on Friday it's Smash Boom Pow's album release with Girlfriends & Boyfriends (and some secret guests) at the Remington Gallery and over at the Rio Theatre, Talent Time is having a summer spectacular show. And after all of this, if you still don't know what to do on Friday, Top Less Gay Love Tekno Party is at the Imperial with Germany Germany. Back to Saturday events, Fiver at the at Biltmore with White Ash Falls, and Jenn Bojm, and at Merge, Nathan Shubert is having his album release with Stephen Lyons, and Sam Davidson. And because that wasn't enough why don't you have a Sunday Funday and go see Aaron Carter at Fortune...just because!
