Start Your Week Right With: The VERY LAST VIAindie Weekly Playlist!

With thousands of artists, and hundreds of thousands of tracks, the CBC Music/CBC Radio 3 website is the absolute ultimate authority, and the home, of independent music in Canada. With that massive library along with tools for members (free to join!), we’re taking advantage of what they’ve set up by bringing you a fresh batch of music every week featuring local groups who have tracks (entire albums, even!) on the R3 site.

		SCENE AND HEARD showcases the independent music scene here in Vancouver.

Back in December of 2009 we launched the very first VIA Playlist, and since then I've brought you TWO HUNDRED and SEVENTY ONE weeks of music from local musicians. The playlists were created by members of the Vancouver music community, Canadian music scene, and just about everyone in between.

We've promoted hundreds of shows in our fair city, discovered new and amazing talents, and thwarted many cases of the Monday's with our weekly lists.

And this week, marks our last VIAindie playlist.

Big thanks go out to the hundreds of musicians for taking the time to tell us their favourites.

To CBC Music (and CBC Radio 3 especially) for letting us hijack their playlist creator for the last five and a half years (see our archive here).
