One of the biggest bands of the late 90s is coming to Vancouver to relive the Summer of '99.
Creed announced an extension of their North American tour on Dec. 10 with dates added across the U.S. and into Canada, including a show at Rogers Arena in Vancouver on Aug. 16, 2025.
The group, which started as a Christian-influenced rock band, was one of the biggest bands in the post-grunge wave of the late 90s and early 2000s, with hits like "With Arms Wide Open," "Higher," and "One Last Breath."
They haven't found those levels of success on the charts since, and took a hiatus for a decade, ending in 2023.
In the spring of 2024, Creed headlined the Summer of '99 cruise, which featured several bands that were big in 1999, which ultimately inspired the concert tour. Many dates of the tour also feature 3 Doors Down and Daughtry, but not the Vancouver dates.
Opening for Creed at Rogers Arena are Big Wreck and Mammoth WVH. Big Wreck had a series of Canadian hits starting in 1997; while they broke up in 2002 for a while, lead singer Ian Thornley had success as a solo act.
Tickets for the show go on sale on Dec. 13, 2024 at 10 a.m. Presales start Dec. 11.
