Polaris Prize

Over the past few months I've been participating in the behind-the-scenes action at the Polaris Music Prize serving as one of the 224 esteemed members of the jury for 2011. This Canada-wide panel made up of journalists, broadcasters, bloggers and programmers all pitched in their thoughts on the long list, voted, then whittled that long list down to the Short List in a democratic fashion to bring you what we collectively feel are the 10 best Canadian music albums of 2011.

Tonight's the big night! A Grand Jury made up of 11 will convene in Toronto and deliberate until a winner is chosen and awarded this year's Prize. It's being broadcast on CBC Radio 3 and webcast on Much at 5PM PST.

Below are all of the albums on the Short List. Who do you think should win this $30,000 prize? Leave a comment below!
