The Proof - Jessica Grajczyk

Jessica Grajczyk is a self-taught copywriter more commonly known as Jessica G or Jess Grey because phonics lets us down sometimes.

Jessica Grajczyk is a self-taught copywriter more commonly known as Jessica G or Jess Grey because phonics lets us down sometimes. Her tiny voice makes her seem innocent to most, but to anyone who’s had the pleasure of reading her creative works, she’s actually rather disturbed and hilariously self-deprecating. She spends most of her time writing concise and sometimes questionable Internet content from the comforts of her tiny studio apartment. Between full-time writing and finding inspiration through silent judging, Jessica co-hosts the Storytelling Show with Alicia Katz once a month on Vancouver Co-op Radio CFRO 102.7FM. Sometimes they have guests, and other times they just chat and play rap. – Sam Shorkey

The Proof

1. I’ve been a knitter since high school, and just taught myself how to knit lace. I never wear anything I make, in favour of hoarding projects at various levels of completion in my closet.

2. Hetero life partners.

3. My 29-year-old Monchichi.

4. My mom, who is also a writer, recently gave me my grandfather’s CP Style Book from the 60s. I was not fortunate enough to have met him. It’s one of the most thoughtful gifts I’ve ever received.

5. A random selection of magazines collected while traveling.

6. A reminder to myself to fully exploit my creative talents before they morph into dust-collecting mantle ornaments.

7. I wanted to see how much promo crap I could involuntarily accumulate during the Olympics. I’m either going to glue-gun it together for an installation called ‘2010 Legacies’, or sit on it until I can sell it online for a small fortune. Not sure yet.

8. My desk and my favourite afternoon snack – giant green tea and tiny chocolate chips.
