Last August we shared with you THIS story of This Is East Van, a photo book filled with images from all walks of Vancouverites wanting to share their vision of what East Van means to them. Curated by Rob Forbes and Erin Sinclair, it's a passion project of which the proceeds from were donated to a local non-profit, chosen by the photographers through a vote.
At the time we shared that story we also announced that they were putting out the call for their second volume, which is just now coming off the presses for an arrival at its launch and accompanying gallery show at Interurban Gallery on Hastings on July 7th. This Is East Van 2 will contain 275 images from 117 folks, and I am anxiously awaiting its arrival so I can tell you just exactly how great it is.
