Halloween season is well underway in the Lower Mainland and the Vancouver Horror Show Film Festival promises to delight viewers with spooky storytelling.
The inaugural gala celebration will be held on October 23rd, when guests are invited to stroll down a blood-red carpet and mingle with the filmmakers. What's more, they may sip delicious wines and STORM beer while they discuss the night's bone-chilling features.
Fresh as a Daisy Films is presenting the festival, whose Twitter account affectionately describes that, "We make all sorts of films, usually about people dying."
Earlier this year, festival organizers asked filmmakers to submit their finest horror flicks that were either under 10 minutes or under 20 minutes in length. Afterwards, judges selected 12 of the international offerings to play at the festival.
The films will be shown at the Cinematheque Theatre, which is rumoured to be haunted. As such, there isn't a better place to celebrate everything that goes bump in the night!
