Vancouver library hosting event exploring the evolution of gayming

It'll look at the issues around accessibility, diversity and inclusion.

The Vancouver Public Library will be talking about the evolution of gayming later this month.

As the universe of video games continues to expand, the variety of the experiences involved do as well.

To discuss one such area, the Vancouver Public Library (VPL) is holding an event on Tursday, July 29 discussing the evolution of gayming.

"We look at LGBTQQIP2SAA+ in gayming and talk about accessibility issues as well as justice, equity, diversity and inclusion in the gayming world," states the VPL on the event's page.

The discussion will be lead by Kate Gray, a veteran gaming journalist with bylines in the Guardian, Vice and Kotaku. She also works in the industry as a game writer.

Local indie game developers Jon Walter and Ann-Marie Gray along with software engineer Effy Ben-Shitrit will join in.

The discussion is free to attend, but registration is requested. It'll start at 6:30 p.m. on July 29 onine via Zoom.
