'I have no idea what's happening': Vancouverites react to official Barbie movie trailer

Life in plastic, is it fantastic?
The official trailer for "Barbie", starring Margot Robbie and Ryan Gosling, dropped on May 25. The movie will arrive in theatres on July 21, 2023.

When news of a movie about an iconic and nostalgic doll got out, the internet couldn't handle it. 

Now that the official trailer for Barbie has finally dropped, the world is in an even greater frenzy. Vancouverites included. 

The spin on the popular toy franchise stars Margot Robbie as the world-renowned figurine (which inspired its own fashion trend) and Ontario-born Ryan Gosling as Ken.

Other famous folks appear in the movie as other versions of Barbie and Ken, including Simu Liu, Dua Lipa, Issa Rae, and Kate McKinnon. 

Barbie is directed and co-written by Greta Gerwig, and is set to arrive in theatres July 21.

Vancouverites react to Barbie trailer

From unique takes to pure excitement, Vancouver locals had a mix of reactions to the movie's new trailer.
