Have you seen some superheroes in the city lately?

On Friday (Oct. 1), The Flash crew prepared for filming in Downtown Vancouver just down the street from The Network Hub's co-working space.

Now in its eighth season, the popular CW TV show is about a superhero who assumes his awesome powers after being struck by lightning.

The company quipped that you can't "go more than [two] blocks without encountering a film set today."

Locals have shared images and videos of the actors on set in costume. A New Westminster resident shared a video of actor Jon Cor who plays the DC Comic villain Mark Stevens or "Chillblaine" on the hit show.

TVLine describes the character as a "charismatic bad boy obsessed with cryogenic technology. But when he’s not breaking into corporate safes, he’s busy breaking hearts with his irresistible charm and roguish style."

In the video, Cor strolls through a building sporting his trademark yellow-and-blue jacket.

Another local shared images from the set of several different actors rocking their full costumes. Chyler Leigh, who plays Sentinel on the Supergirl show, was photographed on set. She's part of a mini-crossover event entitled "Armageddon" that kicks off on Nov. 16 this year, according to DigitalSpy

The special event will see past heroes and villains from the Arrowverse appear in five episodes.

Vancouver photographer @FrogPhoto notes that lead actor Grant Gustin is "wearing some sort of reverse Flash costume" for the special episode, too.
