I attended last year's event with a friend who was already deep in the throes of planning her own wedding. We managed to be among the first 30 in line, guaranteeing ourselves a swag bag that included all kinds of goodies like gift certificates for lingerie and a facial, among (many) other things. We took our time and were treated to fashion showcases, burlesque performances, live music and a ton of delightfully delicious samples. What impressed us the most was the eye-opening variety of what is actually available in Vancouver for those looking to add something unique and handcrafted to their event - whether it be old-school handmade invitations or organic flower arrangements. My friend was especially impressed with the wedding jewelry and feathered headpiece possibilities...

Indie I Do is a joint production between Vancouver B.C. based lotus events, a wedding planning and event management company, and Blue Olive Photography, a boutique wedding photography studio. Both believe strongly in producing a yearly event that will continually bring together independent artists with independent-minded consumers.
