Music BC, The Cellar, and the Georgia Straight present the Voice of the Cellar Songwriting Contest!
This contest focuses on developing BC songwriters performing as artists. 18 artists have been chosen to perform at a series of indie showcases hosted by The Cellar Nightclub. The group will be narrowed down to 6 (semi-finals) and then 3 (finals). There is over $20,000 in cash and prizes to be won, including $5000 for first place, Epiphone acoustic guitars for the top 3, and gear and prizes from Armoury Studios, Sennheiser, Tom Lee Music and more!
Showcases have already begun at the Cellar nightclub on Wednesday nights, but you can still get in on the action! There’s no cover until 10:30, so make sure you get there early!
