Watch: Giant aerial stunt rehearsal takes place at Vancouver Art Gallery plaza

The show will be filming the scene overnight at 3 a.m.

Vancouver locals passing through the downtown core may spot a towering set-up.

The šxʷƛ̓ənəq Xwtl'e7énḵ Square (formerly known as the North Plaza) at the Vancouver Art Gallery is entirely fenced off and two looming cranes are weaved together with wires on Wednesday.

Beneath the wires is a person wearing a harness, a helmet, and holding a prop bow. Behind him is a large pile of thick black mats.

This is a stunt double rehearsing for The Flash which will be filming later in the early morning (Jan. 12) around 3 a.m.

Locals have previously spotted the TV show filming around the city, including an epic fight scene and a car explosion scene. One local even snagged a photo with the lead superhero.

The Flash is about a superhero, Barry Allen, who assumes his powers after being struck by lightning.

The TV show is currently filming its ninth season in Vancouver.
