Jill Henderson has exhibited extensively internationally. She is a graduate of the Glasgow School of Art. Notable exhibitions include at The ICA and Hales Gallery in London, UK; Transmission Gallery in Glasgow; Catalyst Arts in Belfast; Angelus Novus in Antwerp; Brasilica in Vienna; PS1/MoMA, The Power Plant, The Art Gallery of Ontario, and Art Metropole in Toronto. In Vancouver Henderson has exhibited at the Morris & Belkin Gallery, The Helen Pitt Gallery and Contemporary Art Gallery
Jonathan Syme is predominantly focused on painting, but has also produced multidisciplinary works including sculpture, installation, and animations. Syme has exhibited at the Initial Gallery, Monte Clark Gallery, Wil Aballe Art Projects, Equinox Gallery, and CSA Space, among others. He received his BFA from the Alberta College of Art and Design in 2003 and currently lives in Vancouver, BC. Laura Piasta is a Vancouver-based artist who received her BFA from the Emily Carr University of Art and Design in 2006 and relocated to Europe in 2008 where she completed her MFA at the Umeå Academy of Fine Arts in Sweden in 2012. Piasta was awarded the City of Vancouver’s Mayor’s Award for emerging artists in 2014. Her work has been exhibited at a number of institutions and galleries in Europe and Canada. Fiona Ackerman has exhibited across Canada and western Europe. She was long-listed for the Sobey Prize in 2015. Ackerman completed her BFA through Concordia University and Emily Carr University of Art + Design. Fiona has an upcoming exhibition at Winsor Gallery entitled Glasslands. Recent exhibitions include solo exhibitions at Galerie Kremers in Berlin, Herringer Kiss Gallery in Calgary, p|m Gallery in Toronto and White Brush Gallery in Düsseldorf. Ackerman is currently exhibiting work in a duo exhibition with Kelly Lycan at Surrey Art Gallery.
Birthe Piontek is a photo-based artist from Germany who is living and working in Vancouver. She moved to Canada in 2005 after receiving her MFA from the University of Essen in Communication Design and Photography. Piontek’s work has been exhibited internationally, and is featured in many private and public collections such as the Museum of Contemporary Photography in Chicago and the Museum of Applied Arts in Gera, Germany. Piontek’s images have appeared in a number of international publications, including The New York Times Magazine, Le Monde, Wired and The New Yorker.
