Long time friend Matt Layzell of the band The Matinée just released some new songs on their myspace page from their latest album. The Matinée plays a roots-rock tune that is best enjoyed with a fine ale.

This Sunday is the Main Street Car Free Day, and it's bigger than ever, stretching from King Ed all the way down to 12th. It's going to be fun in the sun! Also, Blim is having their community market the same day, right on 17th beside their store.

There are a bunch of different dog-friendly beaches throughout the lower mainland and over the summer I'll be bringing my dog Frankie to a bunch of them and shooting snaps of the spots and some of the dogs rompin' around on em.
